The duties associated with administrative/support jobs touch many critical aspects of a business operation. An admin's responsibilities can include preparing documents, correspondence and presentations; coordinating multiple schedules and calendars; maintaining files and databases; and planning meetings, just to name a few, according to the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).

"As influencers, admins recognize challenges and create solutions in today’s business environment," says Barb Horton, CAP, a past president of the IAAP. "We balance the need for urgency with accuracy. We strive to provide consistent quality while ensuring that the job gets done on time."
