Everyone’s familiar with Silicon Valley, that fabled land of edgy startups, shimmering offices and more tech giants than you can count. New York City, aka Silicon Alley, isn’t far behind. But what about Silicon Prairie? Or Silicon Hills? That’s right: As dozens of US cities continue to break into the national tech scene, it’s well past time for the conversation about what constitutes a “tech hub” to expand beyond East Coast/West Coast. Kind of like rap music in the ’90s.
