Pet Sitter Resume Sample
To work as pet sitter, you must enjoy spending time with animals, be able to care for their needs, and have a pet sitter resume that lists all your key information, including past experience and skills. A comprehensive, optimized resume can help you get noticed by more potential clients. It can also help you reach clients who need a pet sitter with your specific characteristics.
If for example, you are allergic to cats or are available to work only inside your own home, including that information in your resume will increase the chances of being contacted by clients asking for only the services you provide, and not those you can’t.
In the ‘previous experience’ section of your pet sitter resume, you don’t need to list every single client you’ve worked for, as that could cause your resume to go over the one to two-page recommended length. It is, however, important to list all the different tasks you have performed in your past jobs, along with those you consider to be your strengths.
Other tips to keep in mind when working on your pet sitter resume include:
- add a professional summary at the beginning of your resume
- list your main skills or services offered
- add one or two client testimonials
- link to your website or social media profile where potential clients can see pictures from your past jobs and read more client testimonials
