This position is for an Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grades 5-6) at Gainesville Intermediate, starting July 28, 2026.
Under the supervision of the Principal, the teacher will facilitate student success by implementing district-approved curriculum, assessing student progress, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities include developing lesson plans, instructing students, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs, promoting responsible citizenship, maintaining records, encouraging parental involvement, managing student behavior, and collaborating with staff.
The role requires knowledge of current teaching methods, curriculum, data systems, and legal requirements, along with effective communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications include State Certification as an Elementary Teacher, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field, with a Master's preferred, and prior teaching experience.
The position is exempt, involving standard school environment work and district travel as needed.
