Location: Camden, NJ – Philadelphia Area (Home Based)
Reports to: Director of Sales
Company Summary:
Talento has partnered with a premiere full-service manufacturer’s representative organization in the automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market in search of an Account Manager. Their customers include Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, Kia Motors, Hyundai, Honda, GM, Ford, BMW, Stellantis, and other global brands.
For over 40 years, we have built exceptional supplier and OEM relationships resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in annual sales. We pride ourselves on exceptional new product development, large account management, marketing, program management, customer development, and building long-term strategic relations within the auto industry.
Account Manager Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to ensure that our supplier-based products are consistently positioned, accepted, and ultimately sold through our OEM customers. All sales goals must be achieved while developing exceptional internal OEM relations at multiple touchpoints throughout our customers. Further, the successful Account Manager will build and enhance extraordinary customer service with our supplier partners to include manufacturing, marketing, engineering, quality control, and executive management.
Beyond exceeding monthly product sales goals, the successful Account Manager will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail regarding supplier and OEM product specifications, pricing, Request for Proposal processes, and other administrative tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Focus:
Manage the selling strategy and action plans for each supplier for the assigned account(s).
Manage ownership of meeting/exceeding annual sales targets (forecast).
Identify all stakeholders at Customer(s) and develop/execute a plan to build a relationship with each of them.
Develop full knowledge of all details of the Customer(s) processes, including, but not limited to RFQ process, Purchasing system, Accessory Planning process, and Accessory Engineering/product approval process. - Supplier Focus:
Develop and maintain full knowledge of each supplier’s products, processes, core competencies, market position, and competitive advantages.
Identify key stakeholders at each supplier and develop/execute a plan to build a relationship with each of them. - Our Focus:
Maintain LAMP plan, demonstrating full knowledge of all aspects of the Customer(s) account.
Lead the annual forecasting process, including plans to increase existing business.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or related field is preferred; however, extensive experience with an industry-leading company may substitute.
- The successful candidate must possess a minimum of 3-7 years of sales experience with a high-quality automotive industry leader.
- OEM auto industry experience required.
- Sales to Subaru preferred.
- Sales to BMW, JLR, Volvo desirable.
- Experience with engineered products for automotive applications.
- Must be able to work under time and budgetary pressures.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Compensation:
A competitive base salary, commission, bonus, car allowance, and full benefits.
