Looking for a bright, agile and experienced Financial Reporting Consultant to assist the Statutory Reporting team during 2026 and possibly into 2027. This is a high performing team that has a strong, supportive team-focused work ethic.
Job Description:
o Work independently to prepare and complete assigned quarterly U.S. Statutory financial statements filings in compliance with NAIC guidelines and state regulations for assigned US insurance companies at Pacific Life
o Possible opportunity to complete Year-end and Supplemental Statutory filings as well.
o Coordinate with divisions on the timing and accuracy of inputs for the statutory statements
o Analysis of assigned financial statements and schedules, which would include researching and resolving inconsistencies by conducting initial investigation
o Assist in the quarterly planning meetings with various business stakeholders
o Execute proper controls over the reporting process performed for all assigned statements, filings, and reports
o Support Statutory Ledger Validation/Testing for transition to a new ledger in 2027
o Learn the PL ledger and investigate variances during testing
o Assist in UAT testing of the new ledger process
o Assist in completion of various projects and tasks as assigned by Director
o 100% Remote Role.
The experience you will bring:
o 10 + years of relevant experience
o Public accounting experience preferred
o Ability to meet and manage responsibilities under tight time frames

o Experience in the completion or review of U.S. Statutory financial statements
o Significant Insurance GAAP reporting background would be desired if Stat background is limited
o Excellent communication skills both oral and written
o Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

Length of Assignment:
6 to 11 Months depending on YE reporting requirements
