I am working with a company looking to hire a Junior Project Accountant on a permanent basis. This position is in the office five days a week in downtown Washington, DC. This Accountant will have real opportunities to learn and grow with the company. There will be exposure to different projects, and this organization is very proud of their culture here.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Assist the Senior Project Accountant with journal entries
- Assist with accounts payable
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Assist with some administrative tasks as necessary
Requirements:
- Experience working in the government contracting industry or with the professional services industry (ex. engineering firm, architecture firm, law firm, public accounting firm, etc.)
- 2+ years of accounting related experience
- Strong system skills
- Strong communication skills
