Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant. The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the organization’s financial operations, including month-end reconciliations, payroll processing, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position is essential to maintaining accurate financial records that support our mission and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with processing payroll and maintaining payroll records using ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
- Manage accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and tracking outstanding liabilities.
- Oversee accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, monitoring payments, and reconciling donor or grant income.
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks (experience preferred).
- Collaborate with the team to support annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with financial reporting, budget tracking, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now (or similar payroll systems) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
