Assists in preparing the County's Annual Financial Report and oversees accounts receivable, grants, contracts, and payroll functions in the Finance Department.
Coordinates with staff and external auditors, provides technical guidance, trains staff, and ensures compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
Performs complex accounting tasks, manages financial records, initiates wire transfers, and supports year-end closing and investment activities.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant experience, including governmental accounting and supervisory roles.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or CPA license.
Must have knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting, grants, and financial reporting, with skills in data interpretation, report formulation, and effective communication.
Supervises staff, manages personnel actions, and performs physical duties related to office work.
