Our client is a well-established, extremely stable specialty foods distributor located in the Bronx, NY and is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant . This position is fully on site Monday through Friday 9am-5pm with free parking. As the company continues to grow, joining their team as the Accounts Payable Accountant offers the opportunity for internal growth and promotions. Responsibilities' of Accounts Payable Accountant:
- Invoice processing and reconciliation-Conduct meticulous three-way matching to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare transfers, check runs and ensure timely payment of all wholesale invoices
- Communicate with vendors
- Maintain detailed records, prepare and analyze AP reports and provide support to AP team as needed
Qualifications of Accounts Payable Accountant:
- Bachelors in Accounting or related field
- Experience in AP, strong understanding of three-way matching and inventory management
- Experience with AS400 and other automated systems
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication/ interpersonal skills
