Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist

STS Technical Services is hiring an Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing team that values process improvement, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Controller and Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist will support customer onboarding, manage billing workflows, and drive timely cash flow collections. This is a high-impact position created to support company growth and sustain a streamlined, professional AR process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers via email and phone in a consistent, professional, and effective manner
• Set up and onboard new customers, including processing and maintaining credit applications
• Create billing schedules based on project milestones and deliverables
• Identify and implement process improvements within the ERP system and billing operations
• Perform billing analysis on jobs and ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts
• Coordinate closely with internal project managers and sales teams
• Support the month-end close process and assist with ad hoc reporting
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred
• Understanding of job costing and financial reporting best practices
• Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
