Overview of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor role:

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounts receivable team, including training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Set performance goals and objectives for the team, and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to ensure high levels of team morale and productivity.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Oversee the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing customers for products or services rendered.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to facilitate timely collections.
  • Review customer accounts for discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other departments to address customer inquiries and concerns related to billing and payments.

Cash Application and Reconciliation:

  • Supervise the process of applying customer payments to their respective accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile payments received with invoices issued and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.

Preferred qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor role:

  • 4+ years of account receivable background
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
