This position involves teaching the Survey of Chemistry Lab (Chem 105L) during the Fall 2026 semester on Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 am at the Moraga campus. The course introduces pre-nursing and kinesiology majors to general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry through supervised experimental work. Candidates must hold an advanced degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, with undergraduate teaching or research experience in organic chemistry or biochemistry. Prior teaching experience with similar courses and residence in California are preferred. The role includes holding at least one office hour per week to support students and ensuring consistency with the department’s curriculum. Compensation ranges from $6,208 to $8,590 for 2 units, under the SEIU Local 1021 bargaining agreement.
