The Administrative Assistant II provides various administrative support functions to Diplomatic Security designated offices

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive visitors
  • Answer/screen phone calls
  • Provide travel support
  • Perform correspondence review and document management
  • Provide meeting support, human resources support, time and attendance support, and logistical support
  • Serve as an administrative backup to front office when needed
  • Database support

Supervisory/Management Authority:
  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority

Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate's degree with a minimum of five (5) years direct experience
  • as an Administrative Assistant is acceptable,
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field of study or a combination of substantial experience and education in the administrative field is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills: both oral & written
  • An Active Secret Clearance verifiable in JPAS is required
  • The ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check is mandatory

Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in a secured federal office environment
