- Attends meetings, legislative functions, and events to gather information and handle inquiries from officials, citizens, and staff.
- Assigns, trains, supervises, and evaluates clerical and support staff, making recommendations on personnel actions.
- Prepares routine and non-routine correspondence, assembles information for speeches and meetings, and may take minutes.
- Handles travel arrangements, expense accounts, and office supplies, and operates standard office equipment.
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with progressive responsible experience to substitute for education.
