Description

The Admissions Director is responsible for managing the employees and operations of the Admissions Department. The Director works with all Hospital departments to assure that appropriate patients are admitted efficiently, and that beds are utilized in accordance with Hospital census goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and directs admission department activities in consultation with the COO and in accordance with documented policy
  • Controls patient scheduling in order to maintain budgeted census and patient mix goals established by the Hospital.
  • Projects the assignment of patients to teams to utilize beds in accordance with Hospital goals and provide continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred; Bachelor’s required; a combination of education and experience considered
  • 4-7 years’ experience in a management position, including supervision of a team, required
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a fast paced psychiatric or drug and alcohol admissions department
  • Must have analytical and superior problem solving skills

 

Eagleville Hospital, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the treatment, education, and prevention of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and acute psychiatric disorders.  The hospital serves as a regional resource for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as a national resource for training and research for addiction and related conditions.  The hospital also houses an older adult unit, which is short-term program for clients aged 55 years and older in need of a secure, therapeutic environment.  The hospital also houses a 16-bed acute psychiatric unit.
