IDR is seeking an AI-Native Sr. Quality Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity remotely. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep automation expertise, responsible for leading quality engineering practices within a highly innovative, AI-driven product environment. The company operates within the technology industry and emphasizes AI-native practices across its engineering teams.
Position Overview for the AI-Native Sr. Quality Engineer:
- Design and implement automated test suites for complex, multi-service product areas including backend API, UI, and end-to-end workflows.
- Maintain production-quality test automation using Playwright / TypeScript for UI and E2E, and C# / xUnit / NUnit for API testing.
- Lead test architecture decisions such as page object models, API client abstractions, and test data factories to ensure maintainability as the product evolves.
- Define and execute test data strategies for automated suites, ensuring tests are reliable and repeatable in CI environments.
- Champion AI-native quality engineering practices like prompt engineering, AI output evaluation, and agentic workflow leadership across the squad.
Requirements for the AI-Native Sr. Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of quality engineering experience with a strong, hands-on automation background.
- Expert proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript for UI and end-to-end automation.
- Strong experience writing code-based API test suites in C# / xUnit / NUnit and/or TypeScript, with the ability to design and maintain API test frameworks.
- Solid understanding of test architecture patterns, including page objects, API client abstractions, and fixture management.
