GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for daily accounting functions, coordinating with other branches/departments and resolving accounting issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Accounting and Financial Management (% of Time Spent: %)
- Conducts daily A/P and A/R operations.
- Responsible for daily deposit.
- Conducts bank reconciliations and monitors transactions of bank accounts.
- Prepares reports as scheduled or when requested.
- Responsible for general ledger entries and analysis.
- Responsible for reconciliation of inter-company transactions.
- Handles accounting issues with other branches/departments.
- Interfaces assurances and data quality control.
- Processes MIS reports, debit memos, filing, data quality control, and commission tracking.
- Prepares and sends Conduct of Japan Report and MIS report to Japan.
Other & Miscellaneous (% of Time Spent: %)
- Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways in work processes.
- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by superiors.
- Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
- Reports all irregular issues and problems to superiors for solution.
- Maintains good communication with superiors, office staff members, and outside contacts.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Education and Experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) in accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possesses 2-3 years of experience or equivalent skills in own expertise.
Skills and Knowledge
Possesses sufficient knowledge and skills to perform work independently and provide guidance to team members.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working Hours:
- Normal business hours between 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- May be required to work after normal business hours and weekends.
- Work is performed in an air-conditioned office environment.
- Work can be performed remotely but may be required to report to the Los Angeles Office two times per month or as required.
- Infrequent (two times per year) domestic travel by air is required.
- Subject to varying atmospheric conditions, up to and including noise, pollution, dust, fumes, and vehicle exhaust.
- No travel is required.
Equipment Used:
- General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, personal computer, scanner, etc.
- Software includes the use of Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, AXIS, Central Command.
