Junior Analytics Software Engineer position located in Jersey City, NJ (onsite) on a contract basis.
Role involves designing and supporting real-time T+0 and T+1 Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) applications in an agile environment. Key tasks include translating business needs into technical requirements, developing high-volume, multi-threaded Java systems, generating performance reports, and assisting users with data issues and root cause analysis.
Requirements include 3+ years of software engineering experience, strong core Java, SQL, Unix/Linux scripting skills, and understanding of trading order lifecycle. Preferred skills are Python, stream processing (Kafka, Storm), BI tools, MPP databases, and experience with agile, build tools like Maven or Gradle.
