Position Title: Application Support Technician (Brooklyn Day Shift)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Shift Timings:

  • Thursday, 06:30-14:30
  • Friday, 06:30-14:30
  • Saturday, 06:30-18:30
  • Sunday, 06:30-18:30

Position Description:

Our client is seeking to fill an Application Support Technician slot to work on-site in the New York City 911 Communications Center in The Bronx.

This position is to assist in providing 24/7 application support to the 911 operators. Candidate will be working at the customer site directly with the communications center staff.

The role is focused on the Hexagon/Intergraph Public Safety 911 system; candidates will be expected to perform the following roles in support of the environment:

  • Supplying the initial technical support to 911 communications center staff utilizing the Hexagon 911 software
  • Coordinate with other Hexagon support personnel when resolving user issues.
  • Must be willing to work a shift pattern totaling 40 hours per week with occasional shift changes and overtime opportunities.
  • Normal shift pattern covers Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat night
  • Suitable applicant will be given the necessary training in the Hexagon 911 software.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience of supporting IT system end users face-to-face.
  • Strong communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain favorable background check.

Desired Experience

  • Public Safety solution related software.
  • Call center end user IT support.
