Apex Systems is hiring a Senior Applications Administrator for a large Healthcare client.

Location: Fully Remote anywhere in the United States.

Employment Type: 3-month contract with high possibility to extend or convert.

Role Overview

This role is needed to help advance the Agile transformation efforts within portfolio tooling currently underway across the organization.

The team sits within Shared Services, specifically Portfolio Management, and partners closely with leadership and business stakeholders. Key work includes day-to-day user and production support for owned applications, leadership enablement, and emerging AI and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile Council sessions and gather input from stakeholders on current process gaps and pain points.
• Assess and prioritize opportunities, then translate them into practical tooling solutions within the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Advise on agile best practices and recommend scalable solutions aligned to industry standards and the current Atlassian environment.
• Independently document current-state and future-state processes, and convert stakeholder feedback into clear, actionable requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelors degree in a quantitative or business field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science, or equivalent experience.

Experience: Requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Technical Skills:

• Deep hands-on expertise across the Atlassian platform, including Jira, Jira Align, and related enterprise configurations
• Strong stakeholder partnership skills, with the ability to quickly identify pain points, uncover gaps, and translate business needs into clear requirements
• Proven ability to design, implement, and scale enterprise-ready solutions that align to governance standards and operational needs.

Soft Skills:

The position requires the ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Candidates should be able to work independently and demonstrate analytical, project management, and decision-making skills with a high level of accuracy.

Success in this role depends on the ability to move from problem statement to solution design and execution with minimal oversight.
