Assembler position in Austin, TX, paying $20.55/hr on W2, with a 4/10 second shift (Mon-Thu, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts and subassemblies for complex electromechanical equipment.
- Perform self-inspections to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Work in a clean room environment following safety protocols.
- Use fixturing and tools for accurate assembly, including soldering and epoxy application.
- Operate equipment like solder reflow ovens and pick-and-place machines.
- Inspect components for defects and modify assemblies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Enter data into MRP systems and perform basic computer tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of high school or trade school education.
- Understanding of electromechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to read technical instructions and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and dependability.
- Willingness to become solder certified if not already.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication skills and adaptability to new technologies.
