Assistant Controller – Strong PE Backed Firm!
About our client - Assistant Controller:
- Our client is the leading designer and supplier of decorative high-quality carpet, custom fabricated rugs and hard surfaces. They have grown substantially over the past fifteen years and are looking for an Assistant Controller to be a part of the company’s long-term growth
- This role will be supervise 5 direct reports tracking and evaluating day to day activities.
- This role will be in the office daily in their beautiful and spacious office. They don’t work crazy hours therefore there is a great work/life balance for an individual.

Role Responsibilities - Assistant Controller:
- Oversee and manage daily functions of the accounting department
- AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, taxes
- Manage the financial audit process
- Implement process improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Manage general ledger reconciliations
- Develop staff
- managing performance, goal setting, training, maintaining strong employee relationships
- Collaborate with external auditors at year end
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal gov't requirements
- Ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Preferred Qualifications - Assistant Controller:
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA highly desired
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and accrual process.
- Salary range is $120k annually depending upon experience
- Strong Excel experience with exposure to an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP, AS400 or others is a plus.
