JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist to oversee store operations
  2. Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling team members
  3. Manage, motivate, develop and direct team members
  4. Work with store manager on reviewing team members performance and offer constructive feedback
  5. Greet and interact with customers and resolve complaints or issues
  6. Promote a safe and productive work environment for staff and customers
  7. Review financial and inventory reports
  8. Maintain presentability and cleanliness of the store
  9. Organize and effectively merchandise items for sale
  10. Advise customers on purchase options
  11. Utilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills and other sales generating skills
  12. Accurately complete sales using POS system according to established procedures
  13. Dispense propane and/or kerosene
  14. Safely operate a forklift and pallet jacks
  15. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
  16. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships
  17. Practice punctual and reliable attendance
  18. Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Three (3)+ years’ experience in retail store operations
  3. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull & load up to 60 pounds
  4. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  5. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skills
  6. Demonstrate proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office
  7. Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record
  8. Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Exhibit a high level of product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: livestock or equine products, lawn and garden supplies, hardware, fencing, pet feed & supplies or any related knowledge pertaining to our product mix.
  2. Experience with Epicor or similar retail POS software.

SCHEDULE

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$19.00 – $27.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
