The salary range for this role is $65,000-$70,000 and is commensurate with experience.
Summary
The Associate Registrar works with the Registrar and office staff to plan and direct the activities and develop policies, procedures, and long-term goals for the Office of the Registrar. Interpret and enforce university academic and administrative policies for faculty, staff, students, parents, and the general public. Develop and implement practices and procedures for the Office of the Registrar, including course scheduling, registration, and classroom scheduling. Work collaboratively with academic and other administrative offices regarding academic and administrative policies and procedures as they relate to course scheduling, registration, and room scheduling.

Recommend and participate in the development, implementation and changes to university policies, processes and procedures regarding student records. Ensure changes are communicated to the University community. Interpret and enforce academic rules and regulations. Assures the accuracy and security of student information by developing procedure for maintaining student records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and conducting data discrepancy reviews and resolving errors on student records related to course registration, grades, or appeals. Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of all Veterans Education benefits, as well as the regulations of the Department of Veteran Affairs and institutional policies. Certify enrollment through Enrollment Manager. Keep VA informed of veteran enrollment status as well as other eligible persons receiving benefits. Certify enrollment in accordance with University’s Yellow Ribbon agreement. Report enrollment changes within 30 days per VA guidelines. Work in collaboration with Financial Aid and/or Bursar regarding impact on student accounts due to enrollment changes. Remain current on matters pertaining to VA rules, benefits, and additions to SCO handbook. Inform State Approving Agency (SAA) of new programs or changes in programs, and subsequently schedule a meeting with State Approving Agency representative for approval of these new programs.

Verifies student enrollment and degree enrollment data. Assists in verifying third party inquires in relation to verification of enrollment and degree data of former and current students. Assist in the completion of student enrollment verification forms for students in association with student loan lenders, financial aid, and scholarships.

Trains authorized university staff on the identification, evaluation, and process of reconciling student data conflicts in the Registration portion of the student module (INB and SSB).

Represents the Office of the Registrar on committees and projects as subject matter expert in regards to Registrar functions.

Success in this position will revolve around improved customer service for both students and faculty/staff, efficient, scalable, and well-communicated processes, and increased student satisfaction as it relates to administrative functionality of the University.
Supervision
This position will supervise up to 3 Student Services Coordinators at multiple locations and may also supervise student workers.
