Key Responsibilities
- Examines patients experiencing ear, hearing, and/or other related problems.
- Performs and interprets diagnostic tests, including audiometry evaluations.
- Completes ear-related procedures as needed.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids.
- Develops treatment plans and helps patients with aural rehabilitation.
- Suggests specific hearing assistive technology (HATS) to patients.
- Updates electronic health records (HER).
- Follows all medical laws, guidelines, regulations, and standards.
- Helps public and private organizations improve accessibility.
- AuD or Master’s degree in audiology, active audiology license, and at least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Ability to communicate with patients about sensitive topics.
- Ability to work with other medical professionals as needed to diagnose and treat patients.
- Ability to apply medical knowledge to patient cases to treat and diagnose each case.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to cope with stressful situations.
- Strong organizational communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Results oriented and able to meet project deliverables.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness with the willingness to work with a diverse patient population.
