AWS is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Migration and Modernization Business Development organization across North America. In an era where cloud infrastructure, data and AI are merging to reshape industries, this role presents an extraordinary opportunity to drive enterprise transformation at unprecedented scale.

Your Mission: Lead the charge in accelerating North America's growth mission by pioneering first-time cloud migrations for enterprises beginning their AWS journey, driving next-wave migrations for organizations ready to scale their cloud presence, architecting application modernization strategies that unlock innovation, helping customers monetize their data assets through advanced analytics and AI and expediting data center exits to achieve significant cost savings and operational agility.

As a key member of AWS's North American Go-to-Market leadership team, you will drive transformative change across our largest market. In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team of 30 business development professionals dedicated to accelerating customers' cloud adoption journeys. You will shape the future of enterprise cloud transformation by orchestrating cutting-edge migration, modernization, and GenAI initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will design and implement innovative programs that help customers maximize their cloud investments and achieve breakthrough results. Additionally, you will build and nurture strategic partnerships with industry leaders to create a powerful ecosystem that amplifies our market reach and customer impact. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving sustainable growth and helping enterprises unlock new revenue streams, optimize costs, and capitalize on emerging technologies while establishing AWS as their trusted transformation partner.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Design and execute innovative migration strategies that accelerate customer cloud adoption journeys
  2. Lead large-scale modernization initiatives that drive business transformation
  3. Collaborate with Sales, Migration Solutions Architecture, Customer Success and Professional Service Leadership
  4. Engage Business Value & Innovation Advisory leadership to build compelling migration & modernization business cases
  5. Create frameworks for data center evacuation and application portfolio modernization
  6. Develop programs that help customers unlock value from their data through AI/ML
  7. Build and mentor high-performing teams across multiple regions
  8. Foster executive relationships with key customers and partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 15+ years of enterprise technology and business leadership experience in $1B+ revenue organizations
  2. Experience leading and inspiring teams of 25+ professionals
  3. Proven track record of driving large-scale digital transformation initiatives
  4. Deep understanding of cloud adoption patterns
  5. Strong executive presence and communication skills
  6. Experience developing and executing complex go-to-market strategies
  7. Proven ability to influence C-level stakeholders
  8. Track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent
  9. Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
  10. Strong program and change management skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Executive leadership experience (CTO/CIO/CPO) with cloud transformation expertise in $1B+ revenue organization
  2. Direct experience with revenue management, cost control, strategic decision-making, performance accountability
  3. Strong track record in data center consolidation and application modernization, deep understanding of data monetization strategies and GenAI applications
  4. MBA from top-tier program, extensive partner ecosystem experience
  5. Effective at communicating complex technological solutions to diverse audiences and building strong internal and external brand presence
