Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider for a large university setting? Amazon Web Services is expanding the US Education team in Boston. Amazon offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation for students, administrators, researchers, and faculty.

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Account Manager to focus on a leading Higher Education institution in the New England area. The ideal candidate will possess enterprise sales experience, be highly customer-centric and have a track record of overachieving sales targets. They should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against an account plan to consistently deliver on quarterly targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to effectively communicate with faculty, business and technical leaders across the enterprise. The Enterprise Sales Representative will be an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling. They must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have very strong verbal and written communication skills.


Key job responsibilities
- Drive revenue and market share in the Higher Education vertical
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
- Accelerate customer adoption
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
- Manage contract negotiations
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience selling AI/ML solutions
- Experience in building profitable partner ecosystems
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
- Experience positioning and selling technology to new customers and new market segments
- Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business
- Experience developing detailed go to market plans
