Position: Bartender

Location: Omaha, Nebraska


Reports To: Founders Club Manager

Job Summary: Provide timely, accurate, and professional service, executing Founders 

Club service standards with precision, while preparing top quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and charging appropriate prices for every product provided.  Each bartender’s primary objective is to sell and serve a consistent product, always upholding the highest service standards for our members.

Activities and Responsibilities

·       Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of 88 Tactical: “We bring the membership-driven dining experience to new heights: one plate, one drink, and one moment at a time.  Memorable experiences are created here together!”

·       Stay informed of all upcoming events and execute necessary BEO setup and take down.

·       Check identification of guests to verify legal drinking age for purchase of alcohol.

·       Disable range passes when alcohol is ordered. 

·       Make recommendations, share specials, and answer questions regarding products served.

·       Upsell to maximum potential, asking for the next drink order at appropriate times. 

·       Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Founders Club’s standard drink recipes.

·       Slice and pit fruit and prepare other garnishes for drinks.

·       Serve food items to guests seated at the bar.

·       Execute beverage orders received from serving staff.

·       Correctly price all items for members, immediately and accurately recording drink orders in the POS. 

·       Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change as necessary.

·       Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking by taking appropriate steps including persuading guests to stop drinking or ordering taxis for intoxicated guests.

·       Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.

·       Maintain non-carbonated beverage dispensers such as store and pours.

·       Arrange and maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation, promotion of beverages, and attractive displays.

·       Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.

·       Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet members’ needs while supporting the operation of the bar.

·       Balance cash drawers with end of night reporting.  

·       Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.

·       Notify management when bar inventory is low, including liquors and bar supplies.

·       Clean bar area and community tables consistent with management standards.

·       Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the FC Manager.

  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Carbonated beverage dispenser (draught foam control devices, electronic beer line) 
  • Stay informed of new menu changes and policies.

·       Perform all other duties as assigned by the Founders Club manager.

Tools & Technology 

·       Point-of-sale software, timeclock software, and event tracking sheets

·       Credit card processing machines and cash registers

·       iPad with Lightspeed point of sale system

·       Receipt printers

maintenance equipment, refrigerated liquid recirculation equipment, soda dispensers)

·       Cocktail shakers or accessories (3-piece and 4-piece cocktail shakers, pour spouts, spirit measures)

·       Mixers, cutlery

·       Strainers (4-prong strainers, cocktail strainers, Hawthorn strainers, julep strainers)

Education & Experience:


  • Minimum 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant.

Pay Range: $9/hr, plus tips
