Responsibilities:

The Diabetes Educator strives to teach the gestational, adult, geriatric and adolescent, child, patient with diabetes and his/her family the skills and knowledge needed to become self-sufficient in the daily management of diabetes.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

B.A./B.S. required, Masters Degree preferred.

 

LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice professional nursing in New Jersey. Certification from the National

Certification Board for Diabetes Educators

Preferred. Completes C.P.R. Certification as per hospital policy.
