Job Description
Behavior Interventionist (BI)
Do you love supporting students in classrooms? Are you interested in learning more about how the science of behavior can help students learn new skills and increase their independence?
SPG Therapy & Education is currently hiring Behavior Interventionists (BIs) for school-based positions for the 2026-2027 school year!
SPG was founded in 1989 by a Speech Language Pathologist seeking to improve the way students receive clinical support at school. What started as a group focused on speech therapy, has grown to include multiple disciplines, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)! As a multidisciplinary team our mission is to "empower remarkable change together."
As a BI at SPG you can expect a comprehensive training and mentorship program, with weekly supervision from Behavior Specialists. With us you won't be facing challenges alone, you'll have the support of our team of clinicians to guide you. Our employee focused support systems are just one reason why we've been recognized 4 years in a row by USA Today as a "Top Workplace!"
WHY CHOOSE SPG?
Guaranteed, consistent hours - working in schools means our staff don't experience high rates of cancellations that impact their pay
School Schedule - all of our staff work during the standard school schedule, generally between 7:30am-4:00pm. No evening or weekend sessions with us!
Reliable time off - our team enjoys the same breaks as the students we serve - 2 weeks over the winter holidays and Spring Break? Yes, please!
High-touch clinical support you can rely on - all of our staff receive weekly clinical support from their Behavior Supervisor, in person
Professional development & mentorship - we offer regular opportunities to learn and develop your clinical skills
Career growth opportunities - as a multidisciplinary team, there are ample opportunities to learn more about a variety of clinical fields (behavior, speech, OT, mental health, education) as you identify your career aspirations
Salary: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and education. Regular salary reviews and increases available
