Description:
The Manager of Finance, Planning, and Accounting will oversee financial activities to ensure strong financial standing for the organization. This role involves implementing financial policies, coordinating departmental budgets, and monitoring investments to optimize performance. The position requires managing accounting processes, providing insights to leadership, and supervising finance and accounting teams.
Essential Functions:
Ensure general accounting transactions comply with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Make strategic investment decisions to enhance portfolio performance.
Simplify complex financial models for cross-functional understanding.
Monitor investment performance and prepare reports using business software.
Analyze trends to mitigate financial risks and improve spending decisions.
Develop and manage usable budgets, evaluating long-term departmental needs.
Advise leadership on budgeting and financial planning questions.
Hire, oversee, and evaluate finance and accounting team members.
Provide insights on internal controls, best practices, and process improvements.
Perform ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
Required Skills:
6+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proficiency in enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of accounting processes, GAAP, and financial policies.
Experience in financial closing, consolidations, reporting, and project management.
Analytical skills to gather, analyze, and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Ability to research and document financial topics effectively.
Bilingual proficiency in Korean (written and spoken) is required.
Desired Skills:
Combination of public and industry accounting experience.
Knowledge of internal controls and financial best practices.
