In the early 1900’s the lush rolling foothill expanse of Mt. Diablo became known as Blackhawk Ranch, where prized thoroughbreds graced the land for decades. Years later, this natural splendor inspired a vision of luxury living, and in 1979, a new Blackhawk was born. Today, as you enter the peaceful world of Blackhawk, you will drive past lush landscaping and luxurious homes to two magnificent golf courses and clubhouses: the Lakeside and the Falls, surrounded by acres of stunning open space.

The Club features two 18-hole, par 72, championship golf courses. Renowned golf course architects Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge designed the original 6,904-yard Lakeside Course in 1981. The Lakeside Course makes dramatic use of the natural terrain and elevated tees. It is rated by the NCGA as one of the ten most difficult courses in Northern California. The 18th green, a 10,000 square foot island surrounded by a 4-acre lake, is one of the most dramatic holes found in California. The Club’s 6,700-yard Falls Course, designed by Ted Robinson, was completed in 1986. The Falls Course features five lakes and a spectacular waterfall as the backdrop to the 11th green. You will also experience some of the most stunning East Bay vistas, elevation changes and one of the most spectacular views from the 10th tee and the Falls Clubhouse. Blackhawk Country Club hosted the LPGA Tour's CVS Pharmacy Classic from 2006-2010.

Blackhawk Country Club’s award-winning tennis facilities serve up a smashing set of amenities and opportunities for recreational and competitive players. The Club’s tennis facilities include 18 hard-surface and lighted courts – 11 located at the Tennis Villas, and seven located at the Sports Complex, including six pickleball courts. The Tennis Villas includes an inviting clubhouse with locker rooms and a well-stocked tennis pro shop. Also located at the Villas are two indoor racquetball courts, an outside full basketball court and an indoor half basketball court. The Sports Complex features seven hard-surface and lighted tennis courts, including a stadium court with amphitheater-style seating, six pickleball courts and a full outside basketball court.
