BT-1958 Thermal Engineer (Elec. Packaging), Sr. II

Job Description:

Will perform thermal and structural design and analyses of electronic hardware designs.

Must also have background in electronics packaging engineering or manufacturing; a background in environmental requirements engineering and testing is desirable.

Requires knowledge of mechanical design, materials, thermal design, structural aspects and basics of electrical and electronics field.

Must have experience and expertise in thermal and structural design and analysis software such as Unigraphics NX and Solid Works.

Review analyses submitted by subcontractors to JPL projects. Support environmental test programs.

Support design reviews.

Will interact extensively with project personnel.

Required Skills:

• Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Physics.
• 15 Years of Experience
• Must be a US citizen
• Must be able to pass a national agency check
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.
• 25 years of experience in structural/thermal analysis and testing of electronic hardware and related disciplines.
