Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Controls Project Manager to oversee control systems projects with a focus on smart building controls. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of these projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and high-quality standards. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in smart building controls, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Coordination with various construction trades is essential for seamless project integration and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage client engagement, product purchasing, budgeting, installation, logistics, and rebate facilitation for approved projects.
• Oversee client base scope projects.
• Address challenges that arise during projects.
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders including property managers, building owners, engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and vendors.
• Ensure effective internal project handoff.
• Drive internal communication on project progress.
• Plan, manage, and report on project status.
• Gain proficiency in project management systems and tools (SalesForce, Proposal Tool).
• Negotiate labor pricing and site assignments for go-back work.
• Manage Labor Partners for installation activities.
• Review, approve, and complete project documentation by due dates.
• Close out customer billing and Labor Partner invoicing tasks on time.
• Track and ensure timely completion of project go-backs.
• Collaborate with Project Coordinators for customer pre and post calls.
• Communicate change order activities to account management and customers.
• Manage change order tasks to maintain established Project GM.
• Identify and recommend incremental project resource needs to address scope or deadline changes.
• Maintain and monitor project financials and profitability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years in controls project management.
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, and client solutions.
• Proficiency in project management software and control systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with construction plans.
