MISSION STATEMENT

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bus Driver will serve as a primary driver to transport club members “to and from” club programs and activities. The bus driver will work under the general direction and supervision of the Transportation Coordinator.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

With Guidance from an Associate Director of Programs, the Bus Driver will:

Safely transport Club Members in the BGCSW bus.

Participate in the Club's overall positive climate for youth development.

Provide guidance to Club members as they ride the bus.

Adhere to all policies and procedures published by the BGCSW.


COVID-19 Specific Tasks:

Screen members for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 before entering BGCSW vehicle.

Ensure that members who display symptoms of COVID-19 are not permitted to enter the BGCSW vehicle and are sent home with a guardian.

Ensure that all seating & contact areas are cleaned and sanitized between each drop off and pick up. Following the cleaning guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to deep clean and sanitize.

Commit to keeping members socially distant while being transported.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications:

Current Commercial Driver's License specific to interstate bus driving.

Must have a Valid Class B CDL.

Must have a bus driver endorsement, passenger endorsement and airbrake restrictions lifted.

Copy of valid Medical Examiner's Certificate and current CPR card.

High School diploma.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to prioritize and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to follow policy and procedures.

Demonstrated ability in working with youth, parents, and community partners.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.


WORK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday, approximately 15-25 hours per week depending on program needs and availability


EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Part-time / Year-round / Hourly / Non-Profit Organization


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$20 per hour DOE
