Project Analyst - On behalf of our client Procom is looking for a Project Analyst for a 6-month contract with possible extension(s).
Project Analyst Job Details
This position is a more senior-level Project Analyst (PA) role where the PA will be playing a Program Office supporting role to one or more program managers on one or more programs/projects as they are assigned. This also includes rendering program analysis and program management support for a program delivery executive. This PA will help lift a significant burden placed on the program and project leadership by:
-- Assisting a program delivery executive to manage program communications, artifacts, etc. This includes working directly with program financial analysis teams, performing financial tracking and analysis, understanding the financials around resource planning, managing and preparing financial artifacts, and rendering expertise and support as directed.
-- Project Scheduling: Able to read and update Microsoft Project Schedules (.mpp) if asked to and ensure schedule management best practices are being utilized. Ensure project milestones,
dependencies and releases are accurately captured in and maintained as milestones in Clarity and Clarity.
-- Know how to monitor and follow-up on Risk, Action, Issues, Decision (RAID) Log items if assigned
-- Collaborate with project team in managing project change requests (PCR) to ensure that they are completed appropriately, submitted to PCR review/approval process and logged into the project change log.
-- Capture meeting minutes, verify content, and communicate to specified distributions.
-- Partner with PM and other Project Analysts to support the monthly resource forecasting cycles and analyze variances between resource planned vs. actual hours and activities (CAPEX/OPEX- capitalizable Expense/Operational Expense)
-- Assist assigned PAs to ensure required project artifacts are produced/captured, reviewed, approved and posted in SharePoint repositories as required. Communicate SharePoint artifact links to team members.
-- Become familiar with running project profiling tool to ensure artifacts for each project phase are completed and accounted for.
-- Ensure quality and completeness of program data in the Clarity PPM (Project & Portfolio)
-- Assist PM to ensure Clarity is updated and reflects accurate status of the project including go-to-green plans. Load and maintain project resource plans in Clarity.
Project Analyst Skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, program owners, and delivery leads on potentially demanding programs with many sub-projects to support.
- Program Office Experience - Either in Supporting Capacity or in a Primary Role
- Project Financials (resource forecasting and variance analysis) - 5 years
- Program level analysis experience - 7 years
- Clarity PPM
- Office 365
- MS Project
- Need to have corporate experience
Nice to Have:
- PMI PMP
- PMI Program Mgmt Certification
- Previous banking experience
