Responsibilities:

We are seeking a management consultant with strong critical thinking skills, and a desire to manage clients.

Consultants play a key role in helping clients improve business value. Our practitioners identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with clients; communicate with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.

Consultants responsibilities include client management, solution implementation, and generation of project results. A key function of the Consultant role is to create and present quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. Consultants gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

Position Summary

Creates, maintains, and updates Project Management documentation and materials. Supports acquisition planning, strategy, and execution activities for software and systems integrator solicitations. Gathers inputs, maintains and updates cost model and scenario-based analysis of the current and recommended future state. Maintains and updates client use case, requirements, and business process documentation. Supports client team in vendor analysis and selection activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project schedule, update internal resource plan and report on weekly financials
  • Identify, track, and communicate issues and risks
  • Create executive-level communications for both internal Guidehouse and client stakeholders
  • Interface with client on day-to-day project tasks and needs (ex.: meeting prep/follow up actions/planning activities etc.)
  • Manage and update requirements traceability matrix and related user needs documentation
  • Collect data for, maintain and update existing cost and scenario-based models; communicate results
  • Draft initial versions of software and system integrator solicitation documents for internal and client review
  • Support relationship with client procurement office to adhere to client policies and procedures for vendor solicitation
  • Maintain management of timeline for release of multiple vendor procurements (related to project schedule)
  • Work with client vendor evaluation committee, as needed, to support technical proposal evaluation activities
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information
  • Support presentation of work products and information to clients in meetings and facilitate discussions on those items
  • Support additional aspects of client acquisition process, as needed
Qualifications:

 

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 4-6 years’ work experience
  • Experience in Project Management
  •  Experience in managing business and technical requirements’ or other documents that define user and system needs for software and integration services
  • Experience conducting cost/financial analysis and/or work with cost models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and Excel
  • Experience in direct client-facing roles
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
  • Ability to effectively initiate, manage, and execute delivery workflows
  • Ability to present (verbally and in writing) technical information to non-technical audience
  • Collaborative and proactive attitude
  • Ability to meet and pass requirements for a USPS Public Trust  
  • Due to federal contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply

Qualifications (Preferred but not Required)

  • Knowledge of Postal or Case management or Investigative environments, systems, and technologies
  • Any user, project or other familiarity with low code or other platform solutions such as Customer Relationship Management (ex.: Salesforce, ServiceNow); Business Process Management (ex: Appian, Pegasystems) and/or Content Services platforms (ex: OpenText, Highland)
  • Experience with software or system integration acquisition processes
  • Experience with total cost of ownership modeling, particularly for IT/software projects
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • PMP or comparable certification
  • Agile, Scrum or comparable certification
