The Buyer role supports procurement by managing daily purchasing for production and maintenance, sourcing ingredients and MRO items, and building vendor relationships.
Key responsibilities include timely order placement, vendor negotiations, research for cost savings, vendor audits, resolving discrepancies, and managing the full P.O. lifecycle. The role ensures food safety compliance through onboarding and documentation in line with SQF standards, and adheres to OSHA, FDA, HACCP, and GMP regulations.
Qualifications include at least 4 years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation skills, familiarity with MRP systems (preferably Navision), and experience in food or beverage manufacturing. The position requires excellent communication, integrity, and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
This office-based role may involve occasional lifting and outdoor activity, with a salary range of $27.00 - $36.00/hr.
