Position Title: Cashier Department: Front End Supervisor: Front End Manager FLSA: Full-Time/Part Time Hourly (6-8 hour shifts, Union)

Position Summary We are looking for Cashiers to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashier responsibilities include:
• Receiving payments and issuing receipts • Keeping track of all cash, check, and credit transactions • Scanning goods and ensuring pricing and product accuracy • Collecting payments whether in cash, check, or credit • Issuing receipts and change as necessary • Resolving customer complaints and guiding them with relevant information • Maintaining clean and tidy checkout areas
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. You should be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally. Ultimately, you will ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Manage transactions with customers using cash registers Scan goods and ensure pricing and product accuracy Collect payments whether in cash, check, or credit Issue receipts and change as necessary Resolve customer complaints and guide them with relevant information Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
Requirements Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales Basic PC knowledge Familiarity with electronic equipment like cash registers and POS Good math skills Strong communication and time management skills Customer satisfaction-oriented
Physical Demands Include but are not limited to: Walking Standing on concrete up to 10 hours a day Frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending Frequently pushing and pulling objects 500 to 1500 lbs. Frequently lifting and carrying objects more than 60 lbs.
Work Environment Requires frequent exposure to cold, freezing temperatures Equipment in motion, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned May be required to work in other departments as needed.
