Position: Catering Intern/Administrative Assistant
Classification: Full Time, Hourly, Seasonal
Reports to: Catering Director
Summary: Responsible for coordinating administrative tasks to support the Catering Department's efficiency and success, including client communication, report preparation, event confirmation, and billing assistance.
Key Duties:
- Serve as the first contact for inquiries, answer calls/emails, and direct messages appropriately.
- Prepare and distribute reports, attend weekly meetings, and manage banquet event orders.
- Confirm small group events, maximize revenue through upselling, and ensure effective communication with departments.
- Assist with deposits, invoices, and payments, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain professional presentation, uphold service standards, and represent the club positively.
- Gain knowledge of club facilities and operational needs.
Requirements include a high school diploma, hospitality/administrative experience preferred, teamwork, customer service skills, physical ability to lift 30 pounds, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work involves indoor and outdoor environments with varied temperatures and noise levels, requiring standing, walking, climbing stairs, and physical movement for up to 40 hours weekly.
