Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable CDL Driver Class C / Jockey Driver to join our team at [Company Name]. In this role, you will be responsible for moving containers in the yard, managing inbound and outbound product shipments, and ensuring smooth operations within the facility. This position is critical to maintaining timely and efficient logistics in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class C CDL truck to move containers within the yard.
- Ensure proper handling of inbound and outbound product shipments.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles and containers to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for shipments and deliveries.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure products are transported to the correct location.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class C driver’s license.
- Experience as a Jockey Driver or similar yard management role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of yard operations and container handling.
- Ability to operate yard trucks and other equipment safely.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
- Prior experience with logistics or freight operations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
