We have an immediate opening for a CDL Class A Driver/Laborer must have Tanker Endorsement.
The candidate must have a CDL Class A driver's license and willing to work on a construction crew. Responsible for transporting heavy machinery needed at various job sites throughout the area and must be willing to work on a crew assisting in construction activities (manual labor) for placement of various underground telecommunications cable/fiber and/or sewer pipeline installation. Willing to be on-call rotation to assist their team. We are looking for motivated, team players and hardworking employees who are looking to grow with our company.
Â· Performs general construction work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor.
Â· Hand dig holes and trenches with a shovel and other hand tools
Â· Position approximately 80% laborer and 20% driving CDL class trucks/hauling equipment
Â· Basic knowledge of underground cable locating.
Â· Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment.
Â· Responsible for transporting equipment and materials.
Â· Install underground telecommunications cabling.
Â· Flagging traffic, setup safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
Â· Performs daily walkarounds and alerts mechanics of any defects.
Â· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
Â· Valid driver's license with Class A CDL Must have Tanker Endorsement.
Â· Climb into and out of equipment (cars, trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
Â· Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
Â· Knows and obeys all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Rules and Regulations
Â· Repetitive motion with hand, wrist, feet, head, and shoulder
Â· The ability to work outdoors in a diverse environment.
Â· Work in congested and remote areas
Â· Work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time.
Â· Must be able to work in small/sometimes confined areas.
Â· Must be able to work in variable heights/depths.
Â· Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 pounds.
Â· Reach, bend, stoop while performing work.
Â· Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
