Small Store Trainee CDL is a touch freight position and is responsible for delivering and rotating stock. Also responsible for merchandising shelves, racks, equipment, and displays to Company standards.What your day will look like:Transports and unloads products to retail outletsResponsible for merchandising all product inside the outlet to Company standardsWorks in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success. Establish positive relationships with all customers, as well as providing superior customer serviceProvides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities as they ariseAbility to work with all functional team membersSets up merchandise and sales promotion displaysCommunicates any store level issue to managementComplies with DOT rules for driving purposesMaintains rapport with customersCollection of any breakage or out of date product, including empty shells and palletsAccurate accounting for all cases and customer transactionsEnsure proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement dailyDeliver, rotate, and merchandise product on shelf, displays and all cold equipmentMaintains backstock in an organized mannerKeeps coolers, racks, and shelves cleanAssist with training, coaching, succession planning of any delivery merchandiser traineesBuild strong relationships with customer base across assigned customersPerforms appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:Minimum of 21 years oldClass A Commercial Driver?s License required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyThe ability to maintain DOT physical requirementsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively in fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to problem solveAbility to self-motivate and able to perform job duties with minimal supervisionPhysical RequirementsPosition will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.
