At Anheuser-Busch, we ensure only the highest quality ingredients become part of our products. With an eye for detail and focus on quality always, the Idaho Falls Lab Manager is responsible for ensuring all product in or out of the plant meets our standards. Attending plant meetings, creating and executing action plans to meet quality metrics, troubleshooting operational concerns and developing relationships with operators, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity. Additionally, you can expect to:

  • Troubleshooting lab analyses and equipment
  • Lead data analysis and data entry
  • Scheduling lab staff and third party preventative maintenance
  • Maintain lab equipment calibrations
  • Ordering supplies for lab with purchasing system (SAP)
  • Leading and maintaining the site Food Safety program
  • Leading the use of plant optimization tool execution to drive continuous improvement in lab operation and quality results
  • Review quality data to ensure accuracy and development of quality reports
  • Leading problem solving efforts with the use of root cause analysis, 5-whys, and abnormality reports
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Budget oversite for the lab
  • Participate in routine meetings and cascade information to team
  • Coaching team members and providing feedback to direct reports
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the lab
Job Qualifications
  • B.S. in Engineering, Science, or a related degree
  • Previous Lab Experience preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Driven to deliver results against challenging performance indicators
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Proven analytical, influence, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new systems
  • Willingness to work some weekends and holidays
  • Food Safety Health Check program experience
  • Ability to extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical and problem solving skills
