At Anheuser-Busch, we ensure only the highest quality ingredients become part of our products. With an eye for detail and focus on quality always, the Idaho Falls Lab Manager is responsible for ensuring all product in or out of the plant meets our standards. Attending plant meetings, creating and executing action plans to meet quality metrics, troubleshooting operational concerns and developing relationships with operators, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity. Additionally, you can expect to:

  • Perform daily sample preparation of barley and malt
  • Perform malt analysis for the Idaho Falls Malt Plant
  • Ongoing execution of HACCP and Food Safety processes and procedures
  • Create and verify laboratory procedures
  • Review and analyze malt quality data. Research and investigate quality issues
  • Troubleshoot/repair laboratory instruments as required
  • Maintain laboratory chemical and sample inventories
  • Supervise production/maintenance employees as required
  • Routine use of VPO methodology to drive performance improvements and deliver results
Job Qualifications
  • BS in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Statistical background and statistical process control experience preferred
  • Extensive practical laboratory, wet chemistry instrumentation experience
  • 1-2 years of management experience preferred
