Our client is a general contractor in central Georgia specializing in municipalities, educational, and religious institutions. Our client has grown from a modest construction company into an organization that has completed over two hundred million dollars' worth of projects throughout Georgia. We are seeking an experienced executive-level financial comptroller who wants to bring their strong financial talents to a dynamic company and undertake all aspects of financial management. Do you have what it takes to be our experienced Comptroller?
The Role:
Handling the day-to-day duties of financial management, including:
Performing accounting, bookkeeping, and basic cash-flow tasks
Maximizing cash flow
Preparing budgets, forecasts, & complex financial projections
Establishing policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of management reports
Overseeing payroll
Supervising accounts receivable and payable
Closing the books and preparing month-end financials
Overseeing tax reporting and compliance
Developing & maintaining an effective capital structure
Negotiating and maintaining relationships with banks, sureties, lenders, and other funding sources
Upholding internal controls to guard against financial misreporting and fraud, and most are the go-to expert on their companies accounting software.
Seeking:
CPA or CMA preferred
An advanced degree in accounting required
Minimum five years of experience as a Comptroller with GAAP, or equivalent role, in the construction industry
Experience with Timberline software preferred
