Description

We are looking for a dynamic physician leader to join sixteen Primary Care providers, four Ob/Gyn physicians, and three Dermatologists in a successful practice with an Urgent Care located in the same building in Plainville, MA. The ideal physician candidate will work efficiently and productively to maintain an office based practice while also managing responsibilities associated with the CMIO role.

The Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) is responsible for planning, design, implementation, and effective use of all clinical information systems across Sturdy Memorial Hospital and Sturdy Memorial Associates (hereafter referred to as Sturdy Memorial). The CMIO focuses on issues of quality, safety, usability, process improvement, and seeks to ensure that system end users are fully engaged. This person also serves as champion for clinical IT adoption and the involvement, education and support of clinical staff in clinical IT efforts. Works in partnership with the Chief Information Officer to ensure that clinical information systems support Sturdy Memorial clinical improvement efforts and integrate effectively with Sturdy Memorial IT infrastructure. Oversees the Sturdy Memorial Hospital Physician Informatics Change Committee and the IT Governance Enterprise Data Reporting Committee. Serves as cochair of the Clinical Informatics Committee. Devotes ~50 percent of time to active clinical practice.

  • Full time.
  • Employed (salary with incentive). Salary based on experience and is based on 16 hours a week seeing patients with 4 hours administration AND 20 hours tending to the CMIO responsibilities.
  • Two year contract.
  • Experience with use of Cerner Community Works highly preferred.
  • Hospitalist Program.
  • Call: Family Medicine Physician - 1 in 12 (weekdays), 1 in 14 (weekends) or  Internal Medicine Physician - 1 in 10.
  • Looking for American trained, board certified.
