Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a permanent, direct hire position in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Position Summary

Our client seeks a strategic and operational leader to oversee manufacturing execution, regulatory compliance, and customer engagement within an FDA-regulated OTC skin and personal care, pharmaceutical, and wellness company.

 Role Summary: The COO will drive operational excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, and client services, ensuring adherence to cGMP, ISO, and FDA standards. This role is accountable for optimizing production, sustaining profitability, and leading strategic growth in the contract manufacturing sector.

Key Functions:

  • Oversee daily operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA, OSHA, ISO).
  • Lead customer relationship efforts, enhancing service delivery and business development.
  • Drive supply chain efficiency and Lean/Six Sigma process improvement initiatives.
  • Align cross-functional teams (Product Dev, Sales, Marketing) with business goals.
  • Manage budgets, KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across manufacturing and compliance functions.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' leadership in cGMP/ISO manufacturing, ideally in wellness or CPG sectors.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to scale operations, lead through ERP systems, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Strong grasp of regulatory frameworks and manufacturing best practices.
  • Passion for health, sustainability, and innovation.
