This position supports engineering functions in public works through technical tasks such as assisting with field surveys, developing plans, performing construction staking, and inspecting water, sewer, and stormwater projects for compliance.
It involves drafting drawings, testing materials, coordinating repairs, updating utility maps, and managing permits. The role requires knowledge of construction methods, surveying practices, engineering principles, and relevant laws.
Work is assigned with specific instructions, involving varied technical duties in both office and outdoor settings, sometimes in inclement weather, using PPE.
No supervisory responsibilities. Minimum qualifications include coursework in Civil Engineering or related fields, relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.
